The CBTO Team

CBTO prides itself on its incredible and committed team of volunteers which make up its executive and board. It is thanks to these individuals that our shul is able to be such a strong and welcoming centre of Jewish life for our entire community. Michelle was born and raised in Toronto. An award winning writer and filmmaker, Michelle graduated from Tanenbaum CHAT and then York University, earning a B.A. Hons in Film Studies. She then went on to earn a certificate in Social Media Marketing from George Brown College.

With over 15 years of experience teaching children and adults, Michelle has worked in Toronto's leading day schools, supplemntary schools, camps and community centres leading workshops in film, performance, writing, and art as well as social media!
Michelle is very eager and enthusiastic about bringing unique, creative and all around fun programing to CBTO.

Michelle moved to Ottawa with her husband Manny in 2018. Together they have a son, Hershey (Herschel), who is almost 2.5 years old and a daughter, Opie (Ophelia), who is 7 months old. In her spare time Michelle enjoys grabbing coffee, working out, talking about pop culture and watching Turner Classic Movies. She also loves getting family photos taken, but struggles to get everyone in at once which is why she had to photoshop in her son... :S
